    Stained glass is not just for churches anymore. The glory and awe it has instilled for centuries can be in your home and can be customized to your individual taste and/or your home's style of architecture. Envision sunlight infused colours dancing across your walls and floors as the sun moves through the day and the seasons. Many glasses, especially opalescent ones, will change dramatically in appearance from dusk to dawn. You can subtly change the ambiance of a specific room with even one stained glass panel.

    Often installations have a practical side too... is that neighbor's window, brick wall or trash bin in view from your kitchen? Is your bath too easy to see into? You can have all the light you want with a textured clear glass that beautifies yet still privatizes your home, making it a more peaceful sanctuary.

    What we offer in ALL our artwork, including glass window panels, is extreme care and pride in craftsmanship, combined with ethical business practices. Working for other stained glass studios over the years, I am aware of the improper construction practices and small imperfections that most will let go for time's sake. Most of these shortcuts cannot be seen in a finished panel...but after some years, inferior work can begin to bow or leak. My window panels, exposed to the elements, will last more than a lifetime before any routine upkeep may be needed. Much longer with interior installation situations. From the simplest to the largest job, each project is given my full attention.


    What is Art & Glass Studio?

    Stained Glass services: The main focus is to design and produce stained glass windows, along with restoration work and simple repairs. Currently we do not offer classes but plans for courses and single night 'party' classes are in the works.

    As for the name, clear and coloured glass leaded windows fall in the general category of 'art glass'. The "&" was added to signify that I work in more than just the glass medium and that I am an artist first and foremost, doing my own drawings and practiced in many art mediums, rather than just an assembler of pre-designed patterns.


    This studio is dedicated to the practice of reducing/reusing/recycling our resources.
